In my humble opinion, illustrations should be paired with type! Almost all of these ink drawings were created with Sakura Pigma Ink brushes and a water brush pen on Canson mixed media paper. You can see more of my work on my Instagram throughout the year, but especially during #Inktober (one ink drawing a day during the month of October).

Everything is better with some type. All of the type you see on this page is hand-lettered. I use a variety of tools to make letters; I create digital type using Procreate or Adobe Illustrator. And when I use paper, I use brush pens, markers, gel pens, and more to create lettering.

When it comes to scale - I’ve made type on the teeniest tiniest slips of paper and on a 20 foot long chalkboard mural. Lettering can be for every surface, in any media. And the lettering doesn’t stop here — explore my other galleries to see type utilized alongside illustrations and on a variety of media. I can’t help myself; type belongs on everything!
